The Golf Club at Vistoso: Bounded by the nearby Santa Catalina Mtns on one side and the Tortolita Mtns on the other, Vistoso is a great golf outing in a very natural and scenic setting. Inevitably real estate around the course is growing, but at the moment not too much to the detriment of the spectacular mountain views and the quality of desert flora and fauna. The flattish fairways are broken up by significant areas of "wash" that will require good course management (greatly assisted by the GPS system on the carts). What the GPS won't prepare you for is the speed of the greens - some of the fastest in the south-west. A great desert golf experience (provided the housing stays in check).

How2Get There?
|
|
20 miles N of downtown Tucson
Take route 77 (Oracle Road) heading north from Tucson, and into Oro Valley. o.8 miles after the intersection of Oracle Rd and Tangerine Rd, turn left into Rancho Vistoso Blvd. After approx 3.5 miles turn right into Vistoso Highlands Drive (a mile further on from Sun City Vistoso Golf Club). After o.7 miles Vistoso golf is on your left.

2011 visitor fee, 18-holes in high season (Jan thru' mid-April): $79. Golf cart included. Reduced Wildcat Trail, twilight and super twilight rates. [Above rate based on best info available at the time. Contact club for current actual rates, seasonal and other discounts].
