Golf Club Milano

4-star: Above average course - well worth a visit.

Est. 1928

Golf Club Milano: at Milan's most prestigious golf club (judging by the quality of food in the restaurant) you will find 27 excellent holes of golf. They are arranged into the tournament combination Red and Yellow nines, and the also top-quality Blue nine.

The terrain here is generally quite flat, with the fairways pleasantly tree-lined with mature trees of many varieties. Only the Yellow nine has some slight undulation on the first few holes - not least at the long uphill opener, a tough par-3.

The greens here are fast and true, with several of them being somewhat "pudding-bowl" in character, and requiring accurate approach shots to remain "on the dance floor".

The good width fairways (some are perhaps a tad too wide) will allow ample use of the driver, as you make your way serenely around this very natural and classic parkland course. Whether your serenity is disturbed by the sound of speeding cars from the nearby Monza autodrome is in the hands of Ferrari & Co., rather than the golf club.
