Golf de Wimereux Est. 1907

A true seaside links golf course on the edge of La Manche (English Channel), with plenty of coastal views and if the wind is blowing, plenty of that as well. As you’d expect from a links layout, the environment here is very open, trees are in short supply and the long grassy rough can swallow-up any stray shots. The course itself is not endowed with towering sand dunes, although there are dunes in the neighbouring area. The opening few holes take you down, around and back up a small hill, before you settle onto flatter terrain for the remaining two-thirds of the course. This is a very popular venue with both French and visiting British golfers, so book early - especially at weekends.
