Batam Hills Golf & Resort: Although golf on the island of Batam doesn't always bask in the excellent reputation of neighbouring Bintan, Batam Hills (formerly called Paradise Bay) does enjoy an improving reputation. The course was previously characterised by poor maintenance under its previous owners, however since 2006, under new ownership, the course has been benefitting from a major refurbishment programme. The front-nine is laid out through a jungle environment, providing undulating and tree-lined fairways. The more open and less hilly back-nine will continue to probe and challenge your game, although the better holes are to be found on the front-nine.
