Halmstad Golfklubb (Sodra/South course) Est. 1938

Halmstad's Sodra Banan (South course) and Norra Banan (North Course) each share 9 holes from the original 1938 designed 18-holer. With the addition of 9 new holes in 1979, the South course clearly has much in common with its better known half-sister (the North). The South is flatter than the North, but is still a very wooded affair with each hole sculpted from its own piece of forest. The wonderfully tree-lined fairways are all maintained in excellent condition. Its not just the silver birches and pine trees to watch out for, you'll also need to avoid several small ponds that seem to appear just where you don't need them - study the course plan at each tee box to avoid surprises. Like the North course, a delightful walk in the forest - enhanced by the golf (one hopes !).
