Where2Golf says:

The Westin Kierland is an ideal base from which to explore the fabulous galaxy of top-quality courses in the Scottsdale area. It is also home to Kierland Golf Club, and 27 excellent holes of championship golf.

The Ironwood, Acacia and Mesquite nine-hole loops, are laid out on rolling, undulating terrain, with good-width fairways, flanked by desert waste areas and plenty of stylish bunkering. Water hazards make infrequent appearances, skirting one or two fairways and guarding the front of the green at the par-4 9th (Mesquite).

The Acacia and Ironwood nines, laid out in front of the impressive Westin Kierland resort hotel, contain plenty of elevation changes and many outstanding golf holes. The McDowell mountain range provides an impressively scenic backdrop on several occasions, while at the business end of each hole, the greens and green surrounds are presented in immaculate condition, the terrific bunkering often threatening your approach shots.

The Mesquite-nine is characterised by pairs of holes circling around some of the resort's condominiums, with less elevation change than on the other two nines. Named after the Valley's renowned Kierland family, these 27-holes are a wonderful example of manicured, desert golf at its very best.
