San Ignacio Golf Club (South course)

Unrated course. Not yet visited by the Where2Golf Team.
San Ignacio Golf Club (South course) Est. 1984

Where2Golf says:

San Ignacio Golf Club is home to two 18-hole championship courses. The South course is San Ignacio's original, well-rated Arthur Hills design. The North course was formerly known as Canoa Hills Golf Club (not to be confused with nearby Canoa Ranch Golf Club). After a turbulent 2013, it seems that the North course may close, leaving only the South course open for play in 2014 and beyond. Check with club for current status of the North course.

The South course is a desert-style layout that should not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy. Plenty of golfing challenge, a well-crafted design and usually good upkeep all contribute to the appeal of this course. One to include on your play list if you are in the area.

The American Express formerly known as the Desert Classic, and for many years played as the Bob Hope Desert Classic, will once again be decided on the Pete Dye designed Stadium course at PGA West (Jan 16-19).
The Players Championship:  for the 39th time, TPC Sawgrass, another iconic Pete Dye design, will host The Players Championship for one of the richest first prizes in world golf (March 12-15).

Who's Who:
Pete Dye:  one of the greatest golf course architects of this or any generation passes away aged 94. His contribution to golf course design, and the legacy he leaves is immense.
