Where2Golf says:

Arabian Ranches Golf Club: Traditionally-designed two-storey villas line its entire perimeter, but there is still a wonderful desert look and linksy feel to Arabian Ranches' hugely enjoyable and challenging golf course. The real estate is never too close to the course to be in the firing line of wayward drives, while the preservation of desert scrub between the individually crafted holes gives the course its essential character. Perhaps uniquely on the two nine-hole out-and-back loops, there are no water hazards nor defined bunkers. Sand, however, is plentiful, separating the nicely contoured and tightish fairways, as well as guarding the front of several greens - especially the par-3's. Thankfully the sand in these waste areas is soft, and shot-making is more like playing out of a fairway bunker than playing off Arizona-style hard-pan. There are few trees on the course, but small bushes feature in the sandy waste areas, providing home to many small desert quails. Into his excellent and testing design, Baker-Finch has added in quite large greens, full of all manner of slopes and borrows. The perimeter housing aside, this is one of Dubai's best courses to capture the spirit of the desert - while providing a round of golf that is both testing and thoroughly rewarding.

At this Stay & Play facility, you can rise from your bed in the morning and head straight for the first tee.
