Where2Golf says:

The Els Club, Dubai Sports City: Opened for play in February 2008, The Els Club is located within the extraordinary Dubai Sports City development, and is the first course in the Middle East designed by Ernie Els. Although not yet visited by Where2Golf, all reports suggest it is living up to its billing as a world-class layout. Set on the undulating slopes of native desert vegetation, it is a links style layout combining traditional classic design, but with a genuine sense that you are playing golf in the desert. Featuring broad and gently rolling fairways, steep greenside bunkers and grass swales around the greens, it plays to 7,538 yards from the back tees and over 80 bunkers can potentially be brought into play. This 18-hole championship golf course is set to become one of Dubai's most prestigious "trophy" courses, and will complement the Victory Heights residential community of more than 900 villas.
