Where2Golf says:

Amstel Golf Club (Ranfurlie course): Ranfurlie, the most recent of the two courses at Amstel GC, is very different from the classic parkland layouts of Melbourne's sandbelt. Here you can experience an inland links style course, with very few trees, but plenty of deep grassy rough and excellent shaggy-topped bunkers defining the good-width fairways. The elevation changes ensure each hole has its own character, and from the highest part of the course, near the clubhouse, there are terrific views all the way through to distant Melbourne city centre. The course fits very well into its surrounding rural environment, and will surely become a popular and established golfing alternative from the usual tree-lined, parkland courses hereabouts.
