Where2Golf says:

Heritage Golf & Country Club (St John course): Two stunning and contrasting championship golf courses await at the Heritage Golf & Country Club, located alongside Sebel's Heritage Yarra Valley hotel. The original St John course, a Jack Nicklaus signature design, sits just south of the passing Yarra River. Across a small bridge on the river's north bank, you'll find the equally impressive Henley layout, which opened for play in 2007, five years after its older sibling. There's no mistaking the St John's challenging character and overall quality of layout, which you'd associate with an excellently maintained Nicklaus designed course. In its quiet and picturesque Yarra Valley setting, always pleasing on the eye, the course occupies relatively open and gently undulating terrain. Parts of the front and back-nines making excellent use of a long and winding lake, which snakes alongside several holes. The greens are as quick as those on Melbourne's famous sandbelt courses, full of mesmerising slopes and well-defended by a fine array of bunkers and natural looking water hazards. With pleasant, partly-wooded, rolling hills providing the backdrop, the St John course rightly stands alongside Melbourne's golfing elite. Now, together with the Henley course, the Heritage offers one of Melbourne's best Stay & Play venues, with both courses not usually accessible on an outside visitor, daily play basis.

At this Stay & Play venue, the on-site accommodation is located close to the golf facilities.
