Where2Golf says:

The Victoria Golf Club: Falling into the enchanted world of Victoria Golf Club will surely be one of the most memorable moments of any golfing trip to the Melbourne area. This course is one of Australia's best, and the clubhouse surely one of the country's smartest. The golf course is fabulous by anyone's definition. The gently undulating terrain has been adorned with trees of every variety, bunkers that are unforgettably huge (and golf-ball magnetic), springy fairways and greens that are usually lightning fast (especially when the minimal amount of grass is cut to its very roots !). The layout ensures all these ingredients are brought together into one excellent hole after another - the only thing missing (you'll be glad to here) are any water hazards. Like other courses on the Melbourne sandbelt, a couple of roads run alongside parts of the course perimeter, but any traffic noise simply melts away as you fall under Victoria's spellbinding charms.

At this Stay & Play venue, the on-site accommodation is located close to the golf facilities.

The splendid clubhouse at Victoria provides accommodation for visiting golfers. Victoria GC is the home club of two very distinguished Australian golfers - Peter Thomson (5 times British Open champion) and Doug Bachli, winner of the British Amateur Open championship in 1954 (see Tournaments section). In 1954/55 both the Claret Jug and the Open Amateur Championship trophies adorned the mantelpiece in the Victoria GC bar.
