President Country Club (West/South course)

4+ (4 gold): one of our top-rated 4-star courses, worthy of 4½ stars.
President Country Club (West/South course) Est. 1994

Where2Golf says:

President Country Club (West/South course): 36 excellent holes of golf, located in a wonderfully unspoilt rural setting, are on offer here at President Country Club. Extending beyond the course in virtually all directions lies a very picturesque landscape of flat fields and open marshland, full of tall reeds and grasses. The West/South course is longer and generally considered to be tougher than the slightly shorter and more technical North/East combination. In true links fashion the West (1 thru' 9) and South (10-18) has outward holes arranged adjacent to the inward holes, with splendid marshland on either side of these pairs of holes. A pleasant array of smallish trees and gentle earthmounding runs down the good-width band of semi-rough that separates the parallel holes. The terrain on the West is a shade more undulating than on the South, making it the best of the President's four out-and-back loops. Not only is marshland frequently in play, but from time to time small lakes also need to be avoided. The excellent par-5 18th, bringing you back to the palatial clubhouse, shares a small lake (and the final green) with the 18th on the North / East combination. Maintenance here is generally good, although it is the excellence of the course layout and the naturalness of the surroundings that confer on President Country Club a special place amongst Bangkok's golfing elite.
