Where2Golf says:

Golf Club Durbuy is located on the northern edge of the Belgian Ardennes region, just 15 km to the east of its sister course (Five Nations). No surprise to find the main characteristics of the Ardennes Forest, not least it's extensive woodlands, rolling hills and folding ridges, are all reflected in Durbuy's two nine-hole loops.

This is by no means an easy-going course. The par-5 1st serves up your first introduction to Martin Hawtree's technically demanding layout, with its many elevation changes and demands for accuracy from the tee. Hitting the relatively tight fairways provides the first test, quickly followed by the need for good course management and a varied repertoire of shot-making. Hitting elevated greens is a frequent requirement, so be wary of under-clubbing on these uphill approach shots.

From the course's wonderfully scenic higher elevations you look out over the beautiful Ardennes countryside. Although for much of the time it is those tight tree-lined fairways that will command your attention. The elevation changes will certainly ensure a good workout for the legs, if you choose to walk ... as most members do. If you should feel the golf course is getting the better of you, then there's always the distraction of the Ardennes countryside to ease the "pain" and restore the spirit.
