Where2Golf says:

Spiegelven Golf Club: With on-site hotel accommodation (the Residence Stiemerheide), and located within a short drive of Belgium's eastern border with the Netherlands and the historic city of Maastricht, Spiegelven is accustomed to attracting an international mix of golfers. Although only established within the last 20 years, the early parts of the course feel much older, journeying their way through some fine mature woodland.

This wooded and flatter front-nine gives way to a more undulating back-nine, and more open terrain starts to feature from the tough downhill par-3 12th. On the second nine holes, water hazards are more frequent, not least at the challenging par-5 18th, where reaching the safety of the green is dependent on a high-flighted downhill carry across a large pond.

There are many excellent holes on this layout, which will continually test and probe any weaknesses in your game through its combination of tightish driving holes, good bunkering, sloping greens and (at times) uncompromising rough and bushes. Recent drainage work has alieviated the worst of Spiegelven's soggyness in the winter, making it a pleasant year-round golfing venue.

At this Stay & Play facility, you can rise from your bed in the morning and head straight for the first tee.
