Schaffer's Mill Club

4-star: generally an excellent standard golf course, well worth visiting.

Where2Golf says:

Schaffer's Mill Club is home to a well-rated private community golf course, which permits visitor play on a restricted basis. This tree-lined parkland layout should not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy. Plenty of golfing challenge, a well-crafted design and usually good upkeep all contribute to the appeal of this course.

Did you know?

Set in the Martis Valley, between historic Truckee and stunning Lake Tahoe, Schaffer’s Mill is a four-season family community, and home to a John Harbottle designed championship golf course. Harbottle, who passed away suddenly at the age of 53 in May 2012, left a legacy of well-respected golf courses, much influenced by his extensive studies of the great links courses of Britain and Ireland.
