Where2Golf says:
The Crossings at Carlsbad, home to a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in southern California. This open, "heathland" style layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy.
The Crossings was developed and is owned by the City of Carlsbad. This public course nestles among more than 1,000 acres of Carlsbad's coastal terrain and natural habitat, where it is home to wetlands, sage brush and other plant, animal and bird life. The course takes its name from the five bridges (crossings) that were designed into the layout to meet environmental requirements and to assist golfers move around the course.
The Crossings at Carlsbad also features a lighted practice centre and access to The Crossings Trail, a three-mile round-trip walking path that links with the Carlsbad's extensive Trail System. A must visit golf facility if you are in the area.
At this Stay & Play facility, you can rise from your bed in the morning and head straight for the first tee.
