Morro Bay Golf Course Est. 1929

Where2Golf says:

Morro Bay Golf Course, sometimes referred to as a “Poor Man’s Pebble Beach,” offers panoramic ocean views from most of its holes. This “player-friendly” 18-hole public course is characterised by lightly tree-lined fairways, which roam across gently undulating terrain. Though OB is rarely an issue and sand traps are few (they can be counted on the fingers of one hand), visiting golfers will encounter some naturally challenging playing conditions, not least if the sea breezes are picking-up. The rise and fall of the layout is gentle rather than overly dramatic, with the slopes leading towards nearby Black Hill, from where the ocean vistas are even more spectacular.

The Welcombe Hotel Spa & Golf Club: provides an excellent Stay & Play opportunity, just a mile out of town from William Shakespear's birthplace in the centre of Stratford. Royal Ostend Golf Club: represents Belgium’s only real "beside-the-seaside" links golf course (others like Royal Zoute are located a little way inland). Here at Ostend many holes make excellent use of an impressive area of sand dunes. From the long par-4 5th through to the par-5 14th, you play across fabulously open and gently undulating golfing terrain, with few trees, fine sea views and probably a bit of North Sea wind thrown in for good measure.
