Grand Reserve Golf Club (Championship course): Located in the Río Grande area amongst Puerto Rico's largest concentration of golf courses, Grand Reserve boasts two top-quality layouts, the Championship and International courses. Formerly known as Trump International Puerto Rico and then Coco Beach Golf & Country Club, the resort now flys under the banner of Hyatt Regency hotels and resorts. Both courses were designed by renowned Tour professional Tom Kite.

The quality and attention to detail in Kite's design is clear to see as you tee-off toward the spectacular forested ridge of the El Yunque National Park. Although lacking the significant elevation changes of the International course's front-nine, the Championship layout takes you on an expansive and absorbing journey into a variety of environments. The early holes skirt some of Coco Beach's residential development, with small lakes creating many watery threats should your driving be wayward. The par-4 10th through to the significantly water-protected par-4 13th take you clockwise around a small lake, briefly getting you alongside the ocean at the par-4 12th, which shares a double-green with the 17th hole of the International course.

The final loop from the par-4 14th to the 630 yard par-5 closing hole, is played alongside the access road to the resort hotels. The ocean is also in close attendance, but tucked away behind dense vegetation. From its carpet-like, rippling fairways to the expansive undulating greens and top-quality bunkering, this layout certainly lived up to its star billing amongst Puerto Rico's elite.
