Grand Reserve Golf Club (International course): Located in the Río Grande area amongst Puerto Rico's largest concentration of golf courses, Grand Reserve boasts two top-quality layouts, the Championship and International courses. Formerly known as Trump International Puerto Rico and then Coco Beach Golf & Country Club, the resort now flies under the banner of Hyatt Regency hotels and resorts. Both courses were designed by renowned Tour professional Tom Kite.

Although the PGA Tour's Puerto Rico Open is contested on the Championship course, its companion, the International is arguably the more dramatic and scenic of the two layouts at Grand Reserve. Both layouts set you off towards the spectacular forested ridge of the El Yunque National Park, but the ensuing holes then go their separate ways.

At the International's second hole, you climb to a wonderfully elevated tee-box and then play back down the hill to a small, water-defended green. Another dramatic downhill par-3 is played as the 8th hole. Between these two plunging par-3s, the layout's front-nine takes you on an immensely scenic and natural journey. The holes are often quite tight, significantly undulating and lined with dense coastal vegetation, although from many vantage points you will enjoy panoramic vistas over Coco Beach and onto the azure-blue Atlantic.

On the flatter back-nine, a long cart ride from the 10th to the 11th brings you to a tighter section of the courses, where " tropical jungle" lines the holes. You eventually emerge at the par-4 17th to an oceanside double green, which is shared with the 12th hole of the Championship course.

Apart from the more resort-style opening and closing holes of each-nine hole loop (which resonate with the Championship layout), the International provides a challenging and dramatic outing into the most natural areas of Coco Beach, Puerto Rico.
