Sky Oasis Golf Resort

4-star: generally an excellent standard golf course, well worth visiting.
Sky Oasis Golf Resort Est. 2009

Where2Golf says:

Sky Oasis Golf Resort (which originally opened as Skyait Golf Club) is home to 36-holes of relatively open parkland golf, located a two-hour 30-minute drive northeast of Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province.

The lowland A Course plays through and around wetlands on the front-nine, then rises to a pine-fringed mountainside on the back-nine. The B Course lays down a tough challenge, a mountain-style layout that rises to a highland plateau where just about every club in your bag will be tested.

Not part of the A or B courses, the showstopper at Sky Oasis is undoubtedly the extra par-3 Eagle hole – a 150-metre visually stunning experience that has put Sky Oasis on the international golf map (not unlike the extreme hole did for the Legend course in South Africa). With a green surround shaped like a spread eagle, the design is not only visually intriguing, it provides a fun hole to play after your round. Course description, images and other details to follow soon.

At this Stay & Play venue, the on-site accommodation is located close to the golf facilities.
