Barton-on-Sea Golf Club

3-star: Good course – an enjoyable test for your game.

Est. 1897

Barton-on-Sea Golf Club: Not so much a links as a cliff-top course, although the bumps, hollows, undulations, occasional water ditches and gorse bushes, creates a real links-like feel. From most parts of the course there are wonderful views over the start of the Solent and the Isle of Wight, with the unmistakable "Needles" stretching out to the West.

Out of the 27-holes, the Becton and Needles are perhaps the best combination, with the most interesting holes on the Becton. Each of the three nines however, deserves to be played, so best to make a day of it here.
