Gullane Golf Club (No.2 Course)

3-PLUS: Good course - several memorable features; worthy of 3½ stars.

Est. 1898

Gullane Golf Club (No.2 Course): Variety, sweeping elevation changes and undulating links terrain are the hallmarks of Gullane's No.2 course. A bit shorter than the No.1 layout, this is also a hugely enjoyable links golf course, which offers ever-changing scenery and many stunning views as you journey round.

The short par-4 1st and 18th holes are laid out on the south side of the A198, alongside which you'll find Gullane Golf Club's modern functional visitors' clubhouse (where green fees are paid). The first third of the course shares part of Gullane Hill with the No.1 course, before No.2 moves down towards Aberlady Bay and the Firth of Forth.

This is a classic links layout, where your game strategy will be influenced by the prevailing wind and weather. Among a fine array of links golf holes, each of the three par-3s on Gullane No.2 are stylishly defended by a clutch of stylish pot bunkers, always easier to get into than out of.
