The original course was laid out by Tom Dunn in 1880, and revised in 1920 by John Baird. Sir Henry Cotton & Sir Guy Campbell reconstructed the course in 1947 after WW2.

Approaching Felixstowe on the A14, follow sign to Town Centre at first roundabout. At next roundabout take first exit, direction Local Traffic / Golf Club. After 100 yds at next roundabout, turn R. direction Golf Club. After 300 yds at next roundabout turn L. direction Golf Club. After 1.5 mls golf is on your R (ignore Golf Road).
Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club (Martello course): On the relatively flat, open links of Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club, the sand dunes are perhaps more modest than on many other English seaside courses. Notwithstanding the modest size of the dunes, the layout here is still full of interest, challenge and intrigue.
Felixstowe Ferry's 18-hole championship Martello course takes its name from a 19th century Martello tower, which you play alongside at the 14th and 17th holes. When the course was reconstructed after the Second World War, course architects Henry Cotton and Sir Guy Campbell still had to accommodate the fact that Ferry Road slices through part of the layout. This small local road, which needs to be played over at the short par-3 12th, runs out to a boatyard on the estuary of the River Deben, just beyond the course.
Sea views are limited from the course, with a sea wall (that doubles as a pedestrian walkway) running alongside the course at the 13th, 14th and 15th holes, where you come closest to the sea. As is oft the case, the best holes on this thoroughly engaging layout are saved for the back-nine. Complementing the Martello course is the 9-hole Kingsfleet course.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and after 1pm on weekends.

Standing alongside the 14th and 17th holes at Felixstowe Ferry GC is a fine example of a Martello tower. These small circular forts were built in the south-east of England and in many other places around the world in the first-half of the 19th century, this one in 1812. They formed part of England's defences against possible Napoleonic invasion.

Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.
Marco Simone Golf & Country Club: With a clubhouse that might befit a Roman Emperor, and a golf course to match, you can be sure of a memorable outing at Rome's most talked about golf facility.
Jim Fazio's original layout was much changed to create a modern Ryder Cup course ... now one of the Eternal City's (and Italy's) most revered.
Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour. The three nine-hole loops at Prince's, laid out over gently undulating terrain, are sure to bring a smile of satisfaction to all lovers of links golf.
