Leave M4 at Jtn 13. Follow A34 direction Oxford / Abingdon. After 16 miles leave A34 (Abingdon / Witney) and follow A415 direction Witney. After 2.4 miles turn R. at traffic lights by Shell garage and follow A388 direction Oxford. After o.6 miles golf is on your L.
Frilford Heath Golf Club (Red course): With 54-holes of golf on offer at Frilford Heath you are spoilt for choice. Many would argue the Red course, a classic heathland layout, designed by the great J.H.Taylor, gets the edge on the newer Blue course and the shorter Green course.
There are no long carries over heather here, but the often gorse-lined fairways and excellent bunkering gives good form to the holes. There are no views as such from the course, and you may not feel your game is being severely tested, but the quality of maintenance and layout will ensure a very pleasant round here at one of Oxfordshire's best.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends. On a rotational basis, one of Frilford Heath's three courses is reserved for two-ball and foursomes play on any given day.
Booking in advance not essential, but worth checking ahead to ensure tee-time availability. Proof of handicap required.
Players generally walk this course. Golf carts available for hire.
