Hunstanton Golf Club

4-star: Above average course - well worth a visit.

Est. 1891

Hunstanton Golf Club: This thoroughly enjoyable out-and-back links course, deserves the many accolades regularly bestowed on it. Although the first few holes may not be the layout's most exciting, the real treasures unfold on the inward-nine. Here the course’s true links character makes for a wonderful golfing challenge.

The superb greens run fast and true, while the fairways are at times more lush than on the average links course. The North Sea is glimpsed only occasionally, allowing your full concentration to focus on the game at hand and Hunstanton's undoubted charms and quality.

Pick of the holes: The par-3 7th, the second short hole on the front-nine, is a classic "wee demon". Nestling among the dunes, the tee shot needs to carry a yawning front bunker and avoid the sharp drop to the right of the green. Depending on the wind direction, you could find yourself playing any one of your irons or hybrids from the tee!
