6 miles before Holyhead, leave the A55 at exit 3 and follow A5 direction Valley (do not take RAF Valley exit). After o.6 miles at traffic lights turn left onto B4545 direction Trearddur Bay. After 3.7 miles turn left into Lon Garregfawr. After 100 yards golf parking is on your right.
Holyhead Golf Club or Trearddur Bay as it is sometimes known, is home to a links golf course set back a kilometer or so from the sea, on Anglesey's Holy Island.
Don't blame designer James Braid for the rocky outcrops, thick gorse bushes, tight fairways, many elevated greens and other testing features that await - especially on the tougher front nine. Someone had to shape the course to the undulating terraine, and Braid admirably succeeded in doing this.
The result of Braid's creative design is a course rich in character and full of charm, that will provide a fair but stringent examination of your golfing skills, most especially if the wind is blowing (as it often does). Sea and surrounding countryside views are ever-present; maintenance standards are generally excellent and the "no-two-holes-alike" character of the course all combine to weave their golfing spell on the first time visitor.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance. Handicap required.
Players generally walk this course.

Nearby RAF Valley is an active RAF training station, as the not infrequent roar of fighter jets may testify.

The Masters: The 88th Masters Tournament at Augusta National sees LIV golfer Jon Rahm defend his title against the world’s best. Pressing hard will be world No.1 and 2022 champion Scottie Scheffler and world No.2 Rory McIlroy (April 11-14).
Chevron Championship: the women’s major championship season gets underway for the second year at its new Carlton Woods home outside Houston, Texas. World No.2 Lilia Vu defends (April 18-21).
Nelly Korda: records a perfect start to 2024 with four wins out of her last four appearances on the LPGA Tour, a feat last achieved by Lorena Ochoa in 2008. Korda's win at the T-Mobile Match Play brought up her 12th LPGA Tour victory.
Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.
Marco Simone Golf & Country Club: With a clubhouse that might befit a Roman Emperor, and a golf course to match, you can be sure of a memorable outing at Rome's most talked about golf facility.
Jim Fazio's original layout was much changed to create a modern Ryder Cup course ... now one of the Eternal City's (and Italy's) most revered.
Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf.
