300 km NW of Melbourne / 3 km S of Horsham.
From the centre of Horsham follow the A8 Western Highway south, direction Ballarat. After 2 km turn right into Golf Course Road (at junction with A200 Hamilton road). After 3 km golf entrance is on your right.
Horsham Golf Club: Roughly halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide on the inland route (A8), Horsham is home to a very pleasant and testing golf course. Tall, mature pines and eucalyptus, as well as many other tree varieties, line the often tightish fairways, on this gently undulating and well-maintained parkland layout.
On holes where the pines are much in evidence, you might be forgiven for thinking you are playing Horsham in Surrey rather than Horsham, Victoria, such is the classic nature of this excellent golf course. Stylish bunkering flanks several fairways and provides threatening defences to the top quality greens.
Some of the best holes come on the back-nine, which benefits from a little more undulation than is found on the front-nine. The 12th is an excellent doglegging par-4, soon followed by two snaking back-to-back par-5s, the 14th and 15th.
If the tightish fairways are not narrowed by trees, then springy semi-rough often lies in wait for any wayward drives. Overall, a quiet, pleasant and natural setting for one of Victoria's best out-of-town, parkland layouts.
Visitors welcome on weekdays; more restricted on weekends.
Must book in advance.
Non-metal spike facility. Walking permitted at all times. Golf carts available for hire.

The Horsham Golf Club's emblem is the beautiful Blue Wren (sometimes known as the Fairy Wren), which is seen around the golf course, together with a wide variety of other wildlife that include kangaroos and wallabies. When in its breeding plumage, the male Blue Wren has a striking bright blue forehead, ear coverts, mantle, and tail, with a black mask and black or dark blue throat.

The Masters: The 88th Masters Tournament at Augusta National sees LIV golfer Jon Rahm defend his title against the world’s best. Pressing hard will be world No.1 and 2022 champion Scottie Scheffler and world No.2 Rory McIlroy (April 11-14).
Chevron Championship: the women’s major championship season gets underway for the second year at its new Carlton Woods home outside Houston, Texas. World No.2 Lilia Vu defends (April 18-21).
Nelly Korda: records a perfect start to 2024 with four wins out of her last four appearances on the LPGA Tour, a feat last achieved by Lorena Ochoa in 2008. Korda's win at the T-Mobile Match Play brought up her 12th LPGA Tour victory.
Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.
Marco Simone Golf & Country Club: With a clubhouse that might befit a Roman Emperor, and a golf course to match, you can be sure of a memorable outing at Rome's most talked about golf facility.
Jim Fazio's original layout was much changed to create a modern Ryder Cup course ... now one of the Eternal City's (and Italy's) most revered.
