From Auckland Harbour Bridge travel south on Hwy 1 for approx 27 km, then take exit Takanini / Manurewa. Turn onto the Great South Road direction Manurewa. After 400 metres golf is on your left.
Manukau
Manukau Golf Club: GOLF COURSE WAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED IN 2015, and sold to residential property developers.
[Original Where2Golf description]: Manukau is another of Auckland's older and well established golf clubs, with a very good, easy-walking, tree-lined, parkland layout. Given its proximity to Highway 1 and the airport, this quite compact course is surprisingly quiet, especially when you get out to the 3rd green and then play the short par-4 4th, which requires a shot across part of the picturesque Papakura estuary.
There are many very good gently dog-legging holes, and several tight fairways lined by towering mature trees of many varieties. Without too much rough between the trees, ball-finding is not difficult for those wayward drives, but how you go under, through or over the trees is another matter!
All three of the par-3s are excellent, as is the not overly worked bunkering. If anything needs attention its the slowish greens, otherwise another excellent parkland course within easy reach of Auckland's centre.
Course permanently closed in 2015.

Nelly Korda: records a perfect start to 2024 with four wins out of her last four appearances on the LPGA Tour, a feat last achieved by Lorena Ochoa in 2008. Korda's win at the T-Mobile Match Play brought up her 12th LPGA Tour victory.
Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.
Marco Simone Golf & Country Club: With a clubhouse that might befit a Roman Emperor, and a golf course to match, you can be sure of a memorable outing at Rome's most talked about golf facility.
Jim Fazio's original layout was much changed to create a modern Ryder Cup course ... now one of the Eternal City's (and Italy's) most revered.
Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour. The three nine-hole loops at Prince's, laid out over gently undulating terrain, are sure to bring a smile of satisfaction to all lovers of links golf.
