Heading north-east from Wellington on Hwy 2, after approx 20 km, take the exit for Trentham / Heretaunga and follow direction Heretaunga. After 1 km turn right into Fergusson Drive, direction Trentham / Heretaunga. After 2 km turn right into Golf Road. After 200 metres golf is in front of you.

Royal Wellington Golf Club: As one of New Zealand's oldest courses, and to date one of its only two "Royals", Heretaunga provides a very pleasant and not too stressful golfing environment - all maintained in excellent condition.
A rather lovely dog-leg par-4 opens proceedings, while also revealing the tranquil splendour of this flattish parkland layout. The following par-5 highlights that accuracy versus length will be at a premium on several holes.
The slightly undulating fairways are lined with a pleasant mix of mature trees and some brighter, younger, more recent plantings. Various streams coming from the neighbouring River Hutt run alongside some holes, and exceptionally, at the par-5 14th, run directly across the fairway (take care on your second shot!). Bunkering is quite light, but effective where needed, and the excellent quality greens are well-paced.
On either side of the course you'll look onto the tree-covered hills lining the Hutt valley, but the river itself will stay largely out of sight. At nearly 6,900 yards from the back-tees, the course not only provides a very good test, but includes a few nicely elevated tee-boxes as well.

Royal Wellington is one of two golf clubs in New Zealand honoured by exercise of the Sovereign's royal prerogative. Queen Elizabeth II conferred the Royal titles on Wellington Golf Club in 2004 and Auckland Golf Club in 2010.

The Masters: The 88th Masters Tournament at Augusta National sees LIV golfer Jon Rahm defend his title against the world’s best. Pressing hard will be world No.1 and 2022 champion Scottie Scheffler and world No.2 Rory McIlroy (April 11-14).
Chevron Championship: the women’s major championship season gets underway for the second year at its new Carlton Woods home outside Houston, Texas. World No.2 Lilia Vu defends (April 18-21).
Nelly Korda: records a perfect start to 2024 with five wins out of her last five starts on the LPGA Tour. Winning the Chevron Championship also brought the second major championship win of her career.
Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda's five wins in five starts, when he placed second at the Houston Open. Either side of that, he won The Arnold Palmer, The Players, and then The Masters and The Heritage.
Marco Simone Golf & Country Club: With a clubhouse that might befit a Roman Emperor, and a golf course to match, you can be sure of a memorable outing at Rome's most talked about golf facility.
Jim Fazio's original layout was much changed to create a modern Ryder Cup course ... now one of the Eternal City's (and Italy's) most revered.
Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour. The three nine-hole loops at Prince's, laid out over gently undulating terrain, are sure to bring a smile of satisfaction to all lovers of links golf.
