From the A8 motorway just west of Bilbao, take the Getxo/Aeroporto (N637) exit. Cross the high bridge over the river (great city and harbour views) and follow the B1-637 direction Getxo, then Sopelana. After approx 13 km at roundabout (where dual carriageway ends) turn left (into Santa Maria). After o.5 km at next roundabout turn right into Goni Ormaza. After approx o.7 km keep to your right and continue straight into Gabriel Ramos Uranga and then across next roundabout into Pena de Santa Maria. After 1.3 km turn right into Juan Valejo. After o.5 km golf entrance is in front of you.
Real (Royal) Sociedad de Golf de Neguri: If ever there was a course of two halves then perhaps this is it, but throughout you will delight at Neguri's immaculate conditioning. The presentation of the course here includes carpet-like fairways and usually lightning fast greens that are a marvel to putt on.
Sea and harbour views, and generally wide fairways are encountered on the "clifftop" front-nine. This openness is replaced by a more tree-lined environment on the back-nine, where impressive tall pines narrow down the fairways, but not so much that the driver has to be kept under lock-and-key.
This may be a tough course to find, and perhaps get onto, but its well worth the effort - and the nearby seaside town of Algorta is also a delightful surprise for those not familiar with the Bilbao area.
Pick of the holes: of the many excellent holes here, two deserve a special mention. The long par-3 14th is a real gem, requiring a precise shot to an elevated and well protected green. The par-5 18th is a good par-5 with a green that's perfectly framed by the very inviting and luxurious clubhouse.
Visitors welcome on weekdays; no outside visitors on Friday afternoons and weekends.

Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour.
