From the Sukhumvit area of downtown Bangkok, take the Ramindra Expressway until the end. Exit right onto route 304, direction Minburi. Just after intersection with the Eastern Outer Ring Road (route 9), at km marker 8, turn left into Panya Indra Road, direction Panya Indra Golf and Safari World. Pass Panya Indra GC (on your right) and follow road to Safari World. In front of Safari World turn right onto Wat Khun Bon Road then look for left turn into golf. Golf entrance is behind Safari World.
The Legacy Golf Club: Formerly known as Natural Park Ramindra (and before that Winson Golf Club), this is the only Jack Nicklaus designed golf course in and around the metropolis of Bangkok.
The terrain is essentially quite flat, although some modest earthmounding has added a touch of contouring to the sides of the fairways. If gently rippling earthmounds are not present, then there is a good chance that water, in the form of small lakes and ponds, will be. Occasionally, as at the par-4 opening hole, a river of sand may flank the fairway from tee to green.
The well-paced greens are generally well defended with a copious of array of excellent bunkers, some steep enough to require a set of steps to get you down into them. The good-length par-4 18th provides an excellent close to the round, with a small lake flanking the left side of the fairway from tee-to-green.
Although this may not be the most dramatic or scenic course in Bangkok, nor the most meticulously maintained, it still contains the full array of Nicklaus design fundamentals. Water, threatening bunkers and large testing greens will ensure your golf game is adequately challenged, especially if you play from the tips, at just over 7000 yards.
