25 km SE of Chiang Mai
From the south of Chiang Mai city follow route 11 south, direction Lampang. After km marker 10 turn left onto route 1147, direction Ban Thi. Follow route 1147 and look out for signs to golf (on your left).
Gassan Legacy
Gassan Legacy Golf Club (formerly known as Gassan Lake City) is home to the second of a challenging triumvirate of Gassan courses, developed in the mid-2000s to the southeast of Chiang Mai, in the province of Lamphun. All three are designed by Gassan's owner Pravit Raeng-Po, and all three bring water into play to a very considerable extent.
The Lake City course, re-opened in 2014 as the Legacy course following improvements by Lee Schmidt. This good-length layout, at just over 7000 yards from the tips, contains plenty of water hazards and distinctive bunkering, something common to all three Gassan layouts.
Multiple island-green par-3s, right-angle doglegging holes, double-doglegs, carries over water, lakeside fairways and some flanked by water on both sides are all in the mix. Big hitters may relish the driveable par-4s, but, as on most holes, approach shots to the greens will often demand pin-point accuracy to avoid the water.
The five par-3s are all played across water. The good-length 7th (183 yds) and tiny 15th (97 yds) are where you'll need to hit island greens. Following the second of two double-doglegging par-5s at 17, the par-3 18th is played to a bunker defended peninsula green with water on three sides.

Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.
Marco Simone Golf & Country Club: With a clubhouse that might befit a Roman Emperor, and a golf course to match, you can be sure of a memorable outing at Rome's most talked about golf facility.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour.
