7 miles NE of Leeds
From the ring road (A6120) in the north-west of Leeds, (at roundabout) take the A58 direction Wetherby. After 1 mile turn left into Coal Road, direction Shadwell / Wike. After o.9 miles, follow the road round into Brandon Lane. After 1.1 miles golf entrance is on your right. Alternatively, from the centre of Leeds, you can take the A61 Harrogate Road. Cross over the ring road (A6120). After 1 mile turn right at traffic lights into Wigton Lane. At the end turn left, then first right at crossroads, into Tarn Lane, then next left. After 200 yards golf is on your right.
Moor Allerton Golf Club: Offering three nine-hole loops of championship golf, Moor Allerton reinforces the excellent quality of golf to be found just north of the city of Leeds.
More parkland in character than its renowned moorland neighbours (Alwoodley, Moortown and Sand Moor), this always challenging and absorbing layout takes its cue from the picturesque countryside that surrounds the course. Several ridges and valleys are contained within the pleasantly undulating terrain, giving rise to attractive elevation changes throughout the 27 holes.
Moor Allerton was the first of only a few layouts in Britain designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr - arguably the greatest golf course designer of the post-WW2 era. True to many a Trent Jones design, the usually excellent and large greens mirror the rolling nature of the surrounding countryside.
Moor Allerton's three equally good and challenging nine-hole loops are used interchangeably on any given day. Often tree-lined and always well-bunkered, several holes bring water into play, usually in the form of small streams running in front of the greens. One such hole is the par-3 17th, an exquisite little gem with trouble written all over it! Most challenging of the "water" holes is the par-5 14th. A water ditch runs from tee-to-green along the leftside, with the ditch twice expanding into the fairway, most dangerously as you approach the green.
Moor Allerton's Lakes course (holes 1 thru' 18) exudes the most mature and integrated feel of the 27. Holes 1-9, when played in combination with the newer and slightly more open 19-27 loop, is known as the High course. The Blackmoor course comprises holes 10-27.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends (after 1 pm).

Located in Nursery Lane, in the Moor Allerton area of North Leeds, the club's original course dated back to 1923. It was designed by the great Dr Alister MacKenzie.
With membership bursting at the seams, the club courageously decided in 1970 to close the MacKenzie course and move to a new site four miles away. Robert Trent Jones designed the new course at Wike, which was destined to become his only design in the country of his birth.
The illustrious names of Peter Alliss and Howard Clark can be counted amongst the distinguished list of Moor Allerton's golf professionals. The club has hosted many top level amateur and professional events.

Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour. The three nine-hole loops at Prince's, laid out over gently undulating terrain, are sure to bring a smile of satisfaction to all lovers of links golf.
