From I-5 in the centre of San Diego, take exit 14A onto Hwy 75 direction Coronado. Follow the San Diego - Coronado Bay Bridge onto Coronado island. 250 yards after toll plaza on the island, turn left into Glorietta Blvd (you may need to overshoot, make a u-turn and then turn right into Glorietta Blvd, heading west). After o.4 miles turn left into Visalia Row and golf club.

Coronado Golf Course: In the San Diego area, golfing on a municipal coastal gem is not limited to the mighty, US Open-hosting Torrey Pines. Every local golfer will happily tell you about the special attractions of a very busy and scenic golf course, located on Coronado island just a mile west of downtown San Diego.
Looking back into the bay, rather than out to sea, this delightful parkland layout offers plenty of golfing challenges as well as ever-changing views. The golf course is a relatively flat, tree-lined, parkland layout, full of testing and elegantly created holes.
The opening loop gets you right alongside San Diego Bay for some close-up views of the spectacular Coronado Bridge and out across the bay to rows of US Navy vessels in East Harbor. On the back-nine the 14 thru' 16 loop has you playing alongside a marina, with views onto the red roofs and turrets of the iconic Hotel del Coronado.
The par-3's represent a wonderfully varied collection of short holes, with a carry over water at the 9th and a picturesque palm-tree backdrop to the 11th. There are several gracefully sweeping dog-leg par-4s and 5s; the almost u-shaped par-5 13th and bayside par-4 17th being two of the most memorable. The par-3 9th and par-4 6th are the only two holes where water hazards seriously threaten.
Very different from some of the more renowned Californian coastal offerings, such as Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines, but Coronado will not disappoint - a lovely parkland course, occupying a very special bayside setting.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.

During Coronado's relatively long history as a golf course, many of the greats of the game have enjoyed its seaside charms and challenges. In the clubhouse a framed scorecard bears witness to a fourball match that included Billy Casper and Gene Littler.
In much earlier (and for this area pre-golfing) times, the first European to visit the San Diego region was Portuguese-born explorer Juan Rodrigues Cabrillo, sailing under the Spanish flag. In 1602, Sebastián Vizcaíno started to map the coast of California. Vizcaíno surveyed the harbour and what are now Mission Bay and Point Loma, naming these areas after the Catholic Saint Didacus, a Spaniard more commonly known as San Diego.
In 1769, Gaspar de Portolà established the Presidio of San Diego (a military post) overlooking the Old Town. Around the same time, Mission San Diego de Alcalá was founded by Franciscan friars under Father Junípero Serra. The golf course at Coronado came 188 years later!

Nelly Korda: records a perfect start to 2024 with four wins out of her last four appearances on the LPGA Tour, a feat last achieved by Lorena Ochoa in 2008. Korda's win at the T-Mobile Match Play brought up her 12th LPGA Tour victory.
Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.
Marco Simone Golf & Country Club: With a clubhouse that might befit a Roman Emperor, and a golf course to match, you can be sure of a memorable outing at Rome's most talked about golf facility.
Jim Fazio's original layout was much changed to create a modern Ryder Cup course ... now one of the Eternal City's (and Italy's) most revered.
Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour.
