HEADING SOUTH from Glasgow on the M77, take exit 7 and go south on the A77, direction Kilmarnock. After 0.7 mls at roundabout follow the B751 direction Kilmaurs. After 1.5 miles Rowallan Castle is on your right. | HEADING NORTH towards Glasgow on the A77/M77 take exit 8, which brings you directly onto the B751, direction Kilmaurs. After 1.5 miles Rowallan Castle is on your right.
Rowallan Castle Golf Club: Located between the City of Glasgow and Ayrshire's spectacular "golf coast", Rowallan Castle is the first layout in Scotland to be designed by Colin Montgomerie. Although construction of the course began in 2005, with an intended opening in 2008, the course eventually opened in 2010.
Located near Kilmarnock, 30 minutes drive south west of Glasgow, the site is set within a 600-acre Scottish country estate, complete with 1000-year-old yew trees, trout streams, two spectacular castles, and distant views of Ailsa Craig and the Isle of Arran.
The 18-hole rolling parkland, championship golf course is complemented by two 5-star castles. The castles are available on an "exclusive use" basis, and offer 5-star accommodation.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends; more restricted at weekends.
Must book in advance. Maximum handicap: men 24; women 28.
Players generally walk this course. Caddies available (one weeks' notice required).
Rowallan Castle originally dates back to the 13th century and has been owned or held by the medieval Mure family, the Earls of Glasgow (Boyle), the Earls of Loudoun (Campbell) and the Barons Rowallan (Corbett).
Onsite are the Old and New castles of Rowallan. Both can be booked on an exclusive use basis, offering 5-star accommodation, cuisine and event organisation.

Chevron Championship: the women’s major championship season gets underway for the second year at its new Carlton Woods home outside Houston, Texas. World No.2 Lilia Vu defends (April 18-21).
Nelly Korda: records a perfect start to 2024 with five wins out of her last five starts on the LPGA Tour. Winning the Chevron Championship also brought the second major championship win of her career.
Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda's five wins in five starts, when he placed second at the Houston Open. Either side of that, he won The Arnold Palmer, The Players, and then The Masters and The Heritage.
Marco Simone Golf & Country Club: With a clubhouse that might befit a Roman Emperor, and a golf course to match, you can be sure of a memorable outing at Rome's most talked about golf facility.
Jim Fazio's original layout was much changed to create a modern Ryder Cup course ... now one of the Eternal City's (and Italy's) most revered.
Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour. The three nine-hole loops at Prince's, laid out over gently undulating terrain, are sure to bring a smile of satisfaction to all lovers of links golf.
