Northview Golf & Country Club (Canal course)

4-star: Above average course - well worth a visit.

Est. 1994

Northview Golf & Country Club is home to two excellent championship golf courses including the much admired Ridge course, for many years host to the PGA Tour's Air Canada Championship. The Ridge is kept company by the flatter but no less demanding Canal course. Both layouts were designed by Arnold Palmer.

The Canal course is a well-rated and always popular golf course, with a distinctly Scottish links-like character. This open parkland course should not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy. Plenty of golfing challenge, a well-crafted design and usually good upkeep all contribute to the appeal of this course. One to include on your play list if you are in the area.

Did you know?

Northview's Ridge course was home to a regular PGA Tour event between 1996 and 2002. The event was played for three years as the Greater Vancouver Open and from 1999 as the Air Canada Championship. Mike Weir, Rory Sabbatini and Mark Calcavecchia were among the winners. In 1999 Payne Stewart recorded a final round eagle two at the very attractive uphill par-4 2nd hole.
