    Canoe Creek Golf Course: Like the nearby and also enjoyable Salmon Arm Golf Club, Canoe Creek sits at the foot of Mount Ida, an extinct volcanic cone. With its square cut tee-boxes, bold features and generally excellent conditioning, the course exudes both a parkland and a linksy character. With the Canadian Rockies not too far away to the east, you can enjoy beautiful pre-alpine scenery while your game is tested and probed by the layout's many and varied challenges.

    Canoe Creek's relatively open rolling terrain is liberally dotted with copses of mature pine, fir, spruce and larch. Frequent elevation changes start at the par-4 1st, which drops away from the clubhouse. The picturesque and water-protected par-3 3rd is another downhiller; its cascading water-feature dominating the hole even more than the elevation change. On the back-nine the par-4 13th plunges down to a fairway that sharply doglegs into the green.

    Canoe Creek is a layout with abundant "features," all carefully designed into a layout that challenges your golfing skills, not least on a first visit. The rock strewn water hazards at the par-3 3rd and par-4 10th don't quite achieve a symbiosis with their natural surroundings, but may do so in time. Three large parallel bunkers ("church pews") are etched into the right-angle dogleg of the par-5 5th hole. Plenty of partly hidden pot bunkers also line the way, while the meandering Canoe Creek and three menacing ponds combine to pose a threat at several holes.

    The layout offers fine views onto forested hills, rural pastures and wetlands. From the elevated 18th green a wonderful panorama takes in Enderby Cliffs, an impressive mountain escarpment located 10 km away across the Shuswap River.

      Nelly Korda: records a perfect start to 2024 with four wins out of her last four appearances on the LPGA Tour, a feat last achieved by Lorena Ochoa in 2008. Korda's win at the T-Mobile Match Play brought up her 12th LPGA Tour victory.

      Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.
