The Plantation course at Siam Country Club, Pattaya is another of the club's highly-rated layouts. It comprises the Sugar Cane, Tapioca and Pineapple nines, each characterised by nicely undulating terrain, an abundance of stylish grass-lipped bunkering, and natural woodland and forest beyond the course.
As is the case with all four of the club's courses, the Plantation layout is not burdened by real estate on its boundaries, and so creates an enjoyably natural golf experience.
The 27-hole Plantation course, has, like Siam's Old course, seen its fair share of top level tournament play. Exactly a year after opening in 2008, it hosted the LPGA Thailand event, won by the then world No.1 Lorena Ochoa.
Siam Country Club now offers four excellent championship courses. The original and much revered Old course opened for play in 1971. Located just a few kilometres to the east is the Plantation course, which dates from 2008. The most recent additions are the Waterside course (2014), located between the Old and Plantation layouts, and the Rolling Hills course (2020), which sits just below the Old course.

Siam Country Club was founded by Dr Thaworn Phornprapha in 1971 as the first private golf course in Thailand. Dr Phornprapha was the founder of Siam Motors Company, which was granted exclusive rights to the Nissan automobile brand in Thailand in 1952.
Both the Old and Plantation courses have hosted numerous top-level events, not least the Thailand Open and the LPGA Tour's "LPGA Thailand" tournament (see our Tournaments section >by Venue >Siam CC).

Chevron Championship: the women’s major championship season gets underway for the second year at its new Carlton Woods home outside Houston, Texas. World No.2 Lilia Vu defends (April 18-21).
Nelly Korda: records a perfect start to 2024 with five wins out of her last five starts on the LPGA Tour. Winning the Chevron Championship also brought the second major championship win of her career.
Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda's five wins in five starts, when he placed second at the Houston Open. Either side of that, he won The Arnold Palmer, The Players, and then The Masters and The Heritage.
Marco Simone Golf & Country Club: With a clubhouse that might befit a Roman Emperor, and a golf course to match, you can be sure of a memorable outing at Rome's most talked about golf facility.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour.
