Did you know?

Medinah's No.3 course has hosted many top level national championships and professional tour events, including the 2012 Ryder Cup matches, US Opens, PGA Championships and several Western Opens (see our Tournaments section >by Venue >Medinah CC).

Medinah's No.3 course, originally designed for Medinah’s ladies, was completed in 1928. The original Tom Bendelow layout only lasted three years before a major redesign took place in the early 1930s.

While the golf courses were being constructed, Richard Schmid was hired to design the clubhouse. Schmid had a flair for blending the classic lines of Byzantine, Oriental, Louis XIV and Italian architecture, characteristic of many Masonic structures. His design gave Medinah’s clubhouse the taste, style and elegance still evident today.
