Forest Dunes Golf Club

5-star: Fabulous – courses don’t get much better than this.

Est. 2002

Forest Dunes Golf Club: Regularly listed amongst America's 100 greatest public courses, this superb Tom Weiskopf layout has recently been joined by a companion course - and no ordinary companion at that. The newcomer, known as The Loop, is Tom Doak's 18-hole "reversible" layout, offering the Black course when played in a clockwise direction, and Red course when played anticlockwise.

Suffice to say the original Forest Dunes layout (not reversible) more than holds its own against the newcomer. Weiskopf's skilful crafting ensures this excellent tree-lined and open parkland layout offers a wealth of wonderfully crafted, memorable and challenging holes. Definitely a course that will challenge your all-round game, and well worth going out of your way to play. Undoubtedly one of Michigan's very best Stay&Play golf venues.

Stay&Play: onsite accommodation is available in cottages, villas and the Lake AuSable Lodge (see Where2Stay section below).
