The Country Club

Private: A course for members and their invited guests only.

Est. 1882

The Country Club, located in the Boston suburb of Brookline, is the oldest country club in the United States and one of the largest in the Northeast. It is one of the five founding members of the USGA (United States Golf Association).

Here at TCC you will find one of the USA's most admired tree-lined and open parkland layouts, with an outstanding array of excellently crafted and challenging holes. The 27-hole facility comprises the 18-hole Main course, and nine-hole Primrose layout.

The Main Course features the Clyde and Squirrel nines, which are essentially the original 18 holes. This was the course used for the 1913 U.S. Open, and is the course typically played by members today. The Primrose Course, an executive course built in 1927, contains the other nine holes.

For major competitions, the Open or Championship Course, requires a longer layout than the Main course can provide. As a result, three and a half holes from the Primrose course are incorporated into the Championship layout, replacing three holes from the Clyde-nine; this produces a course of just over 7,000 yards.

Limited access: this private course is generally playable only by members and their invited guests.

List of courses: Boston / Cape Cod / R.I.
