The Links at Lighthouse Sound: Whether you're marching out to Drum Point on the front-nine, or connecting with the back-nine via the longest cart bridge in the United States, Lighthouse Sound guarantees an immensely scenic and varied round. As one of Maryland's top courses, this wonderfully roaming and challenging layout follows the margins and expansive tidal marshlands of Assawoman Bay. A scenic golfing adventure awaits, with many views to enjoy, and tough and challenging golf holes to be played along the way.

As you loop your way out and back on the front-nine, some large stylish houses flank one or two of the holes, but are never directly in your firing-line. On the back-nine, woodland and wetlands are all that you'll see. Unusually the par-5 2nd and par-3 3rd play to the same L-shaped double green ..... that's back-to-back holes sharing the same green ( ... unique in golf perhaps?). Greeting you at the tough par-4 4th is an intimidating drive over wetland to a partly-blind fairway (not the only long carry you'll need to make), while at the par-3 5th (at Drum Point) there's no margin for error; anything short of the peninsula green is wet.

The wonderfully natural and equally testing back-nine introduces some woodland as well as marshland stretches. It too offers stunning bay and Ocean City views, but your full concentration will be needed to take on the manifest challenges that accompany this Arthur Hills design. Intimidating carries onto the generally good-width fairways (with some tighter exceptions), invariably lead to well-defended greens. Penal consequences often result from wayward approach play, especially if you miss the greens on the "wrong side". The fickle mysteries of the large undulating putting surfaces provide a final test at each hole.
