White Bear Yacht Club

Private course - for members and their invited guests only.
White Bear Yacht Club Est. 1889

Where2Golf says:

White Bear Yacht Club: with a clubhouse located just a few yards from the edge of White Bear Lake, this highly-rated Minnesota course originally comprised nine holes laid out by Scotsman William "don't call me Willie" Watson. The full 18 was completed a few years later by another Scotsman, the much lauded Donald Ross.

From the get-go the layout heads inland away from the lake, and into pleasantly rolling terrain. The partly open and partly tree-lined layout measures just shy of 6,500 yards from the tips, and embraces plenty of strategically placed bunkering around the relatively small greens. There's not too much water to worry about. A 30-minute drive from downtown Minneapolis, this private club is exclusively for the use of members and their invited guests.
