29 miles W of Brighton
Head for Chichester on the A27 (from Brighton or Portsmouth), A285 (from Petworth), A286 (from Midhurst) or A259 (from Bognor Regis) and look out for signs to Goodwood House. From Chichester itself, take the A27 heading east direction Arundel / Brighton. After approx 2 miles take the A285 direction Halnaker / Petworth. After approx 1 mile look out for left turn into the Goodwood Estate.
Goodwood (Downs)
Goodwood Golf (Downs course): The remarkable sporting estate of Goodwood, where horse-racing, motorsport, flying and shooting can all be indulged, also offers two top-quality golf layouts: the public-access Park course and the Downs course, reserved for members and hotel guests.
The Downs course, originally laid out in 1914 by James Braid was renovated in 2006. It is generally the higher rated of the two courses, occupying a more open and undulating area of downland. The layout takes you up onto the glorious Sussex Downs, and a chance to take in views over Chichester, the English Channel and, in the distance, the Isle of Wight.

Goodwood's Downs course is a private facility. Outside visitor play is restricted to guests staying at the Goodwood Hotel, who can book to play on weekdays and weekends.
