Where2Golf says:

Golf de la Boulie (La Forêt course): Golf de la Boulie is part of the Racing Club de France (RCF), one of the biggest sporting clubs in France. No surprise therefore that it enjoys all the trappings of a top-class golf venue. The clubhouse and general facilities are excellent, and the two 18-hole courses (plus a nine-holer) are really worth a visit.

The out-and-back Forest course, designed by Jacques Roussel, dates from 1968. This makes it a much more recent addition at La Boulie than the original Valley course, laid out by Willie Park Jr in 1901. On La Forêt, good-width fairways and large greens occupy slightly flatter terrain than on its higher-rated sibling. However, the quiet wooded environment is just as enchanting, with most of the holes pleasantly tree-lined. As on the Vallée, the bunkering is impressive and the putting surfaces large and testing. Undergrowth beneath the trees has largely been eliminated, so ball-finding is relatively easy if you do happen to stray offline.

The back-nine of La Forêt is perhaps the more interesting of the two, with tight dog-legging holes at the par-5 10th and again at the par-4 15th. It's worth noting that if the sun is beating down and temperatures are high, the Forêt offers more shade and an easier walk than the more undulating Vallée course.
