Koele Golf Course

4+ (4 gold): one of our top-rated 4-star courses, worthy of 4½ stars.
   Koele Golf Course Est. 1991

Where2Golf says:

Koele Golf Course (formerly known as Experience at Koele): Permanently CLOSED. Original W2G description: a championship layout that ranks with some of the best in the Hawaiian Islands. This tree-lined parkland course provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy.

The course's front-nine plays through ravines wooded with pine, koa and eucalyptus trees. Water features abound, with seven lakes, flowing streams, cascading waterfalls, and the 8th green surrounded by a lake. The first seven holes on the back-nine meander across high country at an altitude of 2,000 feet. The 17th, the layout's signature hole, plays from a 250-foot elevated tee to a fairway bordered by a lake on its right side, and on the left, trees and dense shrubs. A must play if you are in the area.

Stay & Play Four Seasons Resort Lana'i - The Lodge at Koele, the accommodation is located close to the golf facilities.
