Where2Golf says:
Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa is home to three 18-hole championship courses (the General, North and South) and the 9-hole East course.
The highly rated General is a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in Illinois. This tree-lined and open parkland layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. Low handicap players can test their skills from the 5-star General tees, while those newer to the game may settle for the 2- or 1-star General tees. There is 250-feet of elevation change throughout the course, with spectacular views of three states: Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. The signature hole is the par-4 14th, with 180-feet of elevation change from tee to green.
The also highly regarded North course is the only course on the property that gives the opportunity for a panoramic view of Lake Galena. The signature hole is the 165-yard 8th, a downhill par-3 with 80 feet of elevation change from tee to green. The tee shot crosses the corner of Lake Galena, offers a spectacular view of the lake and its abundant rock outcroppings.
At this Stay & Play facility, you can rise from your bed in the morning and head straight for the first tee on any of Eagle Ridge's four courses.

Eagle Ridge's "The General" course takes its name from the fact that Ulysses S. Grant (Commanding General of the Union Army during the American Civil War, and 18th President of the United States) lived in nearby Galena in 1860-61 and again from 1865-69.

Koksijde Golf ter Hille Golf Club: on what was previously open farmland, an enjoyable and challenging links-style layout has been crafted. Perhaps the inspiration for Koksijde's new course came from a renowned Harry Colt layout that existed in the 1920s just a couple of kilometres to the west. Read more... |
The Duke Golf Club: represents the latest in a trio of private courses to arrive on the Dutch golfing scene. All prefixed by the definite article, The Dutch (2010, designer Colin Montgomerie) and The International (2012, Ian Woosnam) have now been joined by The Duke, which firmly targets a business clientele and the corporate golf market.
