Did you know?

Destined to be called The Golf Club of Indianapolis, the naming of the club took an interesting twist. The story goes that as Pete Dye and Bill Wick, one of the original Directors, were surveying the uncompleted back nine, Dye picked up a gnarled stick and swung it at some stones. This provided the inspiration for the name Crooked Stick Golf Club, which was ratified by the members in April 1965. | Crooked Stick has hosted many top level tournaments, including major championships and a Solheim Cup.
