Did you know?

Miacomet is Nantucket Island's only public 18-hole golf facility, and is owned by the Nantucket Island Land Bank. The club's name is taken from an area of the island once inhabited by Native Americans; they referred to the area as "Miacomet" or "the meeting place". | The island is also home to two highly-rated, but private 18-hole courses: Sankaty Head GC and Nantucket GC. Next to Nantucket GC is Old Sconset Golf Course, a 9-hole public-access course. Established in 1894, Old Sconset is known locally as Skinner's.
